midlife is badass

ABOUT YOUR SPEAKER, PROVIDER, AND MENTOR

MEET MIRANDA ZUHLKE,
DMSc, PA-C

I’m Miranda Zuhlke, PA-C, DMSc, and long before I built an independent menopause and sexual health practice, I learned firsthand what it feels like to sit on the other side of the exam table.

I’ve never been one to shy away from the hard sh*t. From serving in Iraq to navigating infertility and repeated loss, I know firsthand what it’s like to be let down by the systems that are supposed to be on your side.

And when it’s your body, your future, and your life being discussed, being dismissed or handed incomplete answers isn’t good enough.

Throughout my career in medicine, I’ve built my expertise around the areas where women have been overlooked for far too long. While earning my Doctorate in Medical Science, my research examined the myths and misconceptions surrounding hormone therapy that continue to influence the way women are treated today.

I’ve since dedicated my work to menopause, midlife, and sexual health. From changing the conversations on stages to believing the women who walk into my exam room and equipping other industry professionals to do the same, I built Midlife Rising to advocate for and empower midlife women at every level.

When I'm Not Talking About Menopause...

Medicine has had me hooked since the days of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman and ER at 9 PM on NBC, but there’s a lot more to me than what comes after my name. I’m an Army veteran who served in Iraq alongside other badass women in traditionally “male” jobs, and a recovering endurance junkie with marathons and Ironmans under my belt.

Outside of work, I’m a mom of two, a minimalist at heart, and an avid reader of WWII history. I’m also a loyal foodie. I was eating cottage cheese and cauliflower before they were trendy, and I’ll always be down for Red Starbursts and LifeSaver Gummies.
